Position Highlights | The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Arizona (UA) invites candidates to apply for a career-track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice (PoP) Rank across all areas of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) for a start date of Fall 2024. The ECE Department is ranked in the top 20 percent of public universities in the nation and is in a rapid expansion phase. As a key driver for this expansion in 2023, a new CSE program was launched and the department is engaged in an ambitious, multi-year hiring effort over the next 5 years. The ECE Department seeks to attract, develop, and retain excellent faculty members with outstanding teaching credentials and future promise. The department is especially interested in candidates who will contribute to the growth of the CSE program, diversity and excellence of the University's academic community through their teaching and service. We seek a candidate who can demonstrate outstanding teaching methods as well as the ability to develop and teach undergraduate courses in a variety of formats (e.g., on campus, online, interactive video) consistent with the department and college's purpose, vision, and value. We seek to hire candidates with a strong background in CSE, whose teaching experience covers one or more of the undergraduate level courses on Introductory Level Programming, Discrete Structures and Basic Algorithms, Data Management, Operating Systems, and Design and Theory of Computation.
