Position Highlights | The Innovation for Justice Program (i4J) at the James E. Rogers College of Law is hiring a Project Lead for the i4J lab's System Impact Area. i4J is a social justice innovation lab that designs, builds and tests disruptive solutions to the justice gap. Community engagement, design thinking, systems thinking, collaborative technology and empirical methods are at the core of all i4J projects. The System Impact Area is at the forefront of utilizing UX methodologies to evaluate online court technologies and processes. Responsibilities (University Staff and Administrative Only) Collaborates with faculty and/or researchers and/or students and/or community members to formulate community-engaged research strategies and goals and develop core project components. Coordinates and plans the administration and operation of community- and student-engaged projects which may include research, curriculum design, grant applications, project management, communication with internal/external constituents and supervision of student interns. May identify and pursue funding opportunities and may contribute to preparation of requests for proposals, RFPs, grant applications and other contracts. Collects and analyzes data to assess and evaluate field research. May teach seminars and workshops. This is an Extended Temporary (ETE) position expected to last one year. Duties & Responsibilities | *Facilitating community-engaged projects housed within the i4J lab, through project design and implementation *Engaging community members, students, and diverse stakeholders from the private and public sector on projects from design to implementation *Conducting research, writing research reports, and creating research and training materials to inform and advance projects and supervising student interns involved in the research *Communicating with government, private and community partners on projects and events *Course planning and course materials preparation, virtual classroom coordination and facilitation, student communications, grading and feedback Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities *Ability to communicate effectively with different groups/individuals *Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information *Skill in public speaking and presenting information to large groups *Experience applying user experience (UX) research and design, design thinking, and systems thinking methodologies *Higher ed teaching experience, comfort using classroom technologies for online courses |
