Position Highlights The research technician will have a vital role in administering, scoring, and entering data for standardized neuropsychological assessments as part of a new, virtually performed research protocol. Hours will include daytime and some afternoon/evening hours, on weekdays and some weekends, to accommodate participants' schedules. The research technician will work collaboratively with a team including faculty, graduate students, undergraduates, and staff.

Duties & Responsibilities

Standard professional skills for effective and timely interaction with co-workers and participants. Willingness to learn a standardized battery of neuropsychological tests for a virtually performed research protocol. Willingness to work daytime and afternoon/evening hours, on weekdays and two weekends per month. High attention to detail, ethics, and respect for participant confidentiality. Standard computing skills, including efficient use of Zoom, REDCap, and Microsoft products.

  • Administering standardized neuropsychological assessments as part of a virtually-performed research protocol. This requires effective computing skills, including efficient use of Zoom, and a willingness to work daytime and some afternoon/evening hours on weekdays and two weekends per month.
  • Scoring and entering data in an electronic database from the standardized neuropsychological assessments. This requires effective computing skills, including efficient use of REDCap.
  • Interacting (virtually) with potential participants prior to their assessments (e.g., sending reminder emails, troubleshooting technology issues).
  • Engaging in general project duties, including conducting an inventory of laboratory supplies, interacting with undergraduates, staff and faculty on the team, handling emails, and attending lab meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
